We were utterly reliant on Checkatrade to source us a competent tradesperson for our repair job. We registered and advertised our needs, but unfortunately, we were left in the lurch.

Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.
It's clear to us that Checkatrade favors their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

It all starts with their sneaky costs, which they hide in the fine print. Then, there's the terrible customer service that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to get your money back, but it's like talking to a wall.

Is Checkatrade a Scam?
We thought we were doing the right thing by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so legitimate with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.
First, the customer service from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.
In the end, we ended up getting ripped off by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.
We're left feeling frustrated and warn everyone against using them for your tradesman needs.

My experience with Checkatrade turned into a nightmare. I hired read more a trader through their platform to complete some vital home repairs. They seemed trustworthy at first, but it ended up a terrible ordeal.
Although I paid the full amount upfront, the work completely vanished into thin air. Getting a response dried up. It's been a truly agonizing period, and I'm still left with a house in disarray.
The platform itself has been unhelpful throughout this whole process. They laughed at my plight. It feels like I've been scammed.
